Acland House
In 2018 we began work with BAM Construction for their Acland project at Keble College, Oxford, which was founded in 1870.
This project allowed us to really lean into our credentials as restorers of heritage buildings with the removal and restoration of a collection of Grade 1 listed Victorian windows.
We had to carefully remove and restore damaged timber, strip the windows back to their natural timber and re-finish them in our workshop. We also had to remove wet and dry rot from the sash boxes as well as carefully removing all the glass before re-glazing with original putty.
Additionally, we manufactured a new door and canopy for the building. This project allowed us to expand upon the work we were cultivating in restoration whilst also affording us to the opportunity to create something new, marking it as a true pleasure to have been a part of.
